New State Guidelines — 2020 — Sandy Beach

Notice from Parks and Recreation:

At present, in accordance with the Commonwealth’s guidance, residents are permitted to walk the access road to the beach, socially distanced and with a mask if social distancing cannot be performed. Residents can walk the beach (transitory activity only).

Beaches are permitted to open for more activities in Phase 1, on or after May 25, 2020. The Commonwealth provided the following guidance on the opening. See link above.

The beach will not be staffed with life guards until late June, the exact date is yet to be determined. Bathrooms will not be unlocked and water testing will not be conducted until the beach is staffed. Swim at your own risk.

Thank you,
