Executive Board Meeting Minutes
November 5, 2012
Meeting start: 7:05 pm
Attendees: Malcolm Page, Drew Logan, Christine MacConnell, Patty Holland, Mike Riley, Frank Holland
1. Review and vote to accept minutes from October 9th meeting.
Post meeting minutes to website after board approval

2. Treasurer’s Report – Dues rec’d?

Filed annual report — $15
Mixture of new and current members
3. Lake clean-up held Saturday October. 27th – 17 attended: Trash remains at dam, Placement of trash cans at dam?

A lot of trash at the dam
4 full trash bags from the dam – still a lot of trash in water
Spring cleanup only instead of Fall – too many leaves and water
not low enough
Tentative date in April depending on weather – reschedule for fall if weather does not cooperate.
Trash Can – probably not a good idea, possibly anchor? Check with
Highway Department
4. Draw Down-
-Weed Survey – Aquatic Control Technology-Survey done 8/26/12
-Spoke to ACT engineer today, 11/5, He is finishing up report
-Prepare report to be submitted to Con. Comm., Publicize Success?
-Contact Con. Comm. to get on their agenda
Malcolm spoke to Aquatic Control, should receive written results in the next couple of days
Weeds were better, total biomass of lake was down
One unidentified weed increased, milfoil way down
Suggestion – not an optimal year, get waiver to do it the next year
Modification to notice of intent with Con. Comm.
5. Dam Advisory committee – Mike Riley attended selectmen’s meeting
Mike spoke about attending Selectman’s meeting
We want the safe dam, low impact on our taxes
Mike to talk to Town Manager about members for the Dam Advisory Committee

People involved who understand engineering/technical aspects
Also people from other towns (possible DPW)
6. FALL TOWN MEETING — EMC Zoning Change not on agenda
-Modify letter to EMC to express the need to look at the future of the complete parcel?
No EMC zoning change at town meeting
Need to send letter soon
Should update members – email update of plans for Spring Town Meeting
7. December Meeting – Holiday celebration?
Thursday, December 20th – send a note to everyone
Low key, appetizers and desserts – Let Patty know what you plan to bring
Frank and Patty’s house 7 pm
8. Zack Doss letter – Does it need to be on our letterhead?

9. New Business
Winter Social – need to get some funds –
Discussions about fund raising – Mike and Bill need to get together regarding where to start.
Malcolm to draft some ideas for summary of what the “state of the lake” has been over the years, send a letter out to membership and email
Email members about Ice Fishing
