Lake Safety

The Officers and Executive Board Members of the LMPA take our roles as the voice for the membership very seriously. We would like to remind you all of our mission statement:

The Lake Maspenock Preservation Association (LMPA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing, preserving and protecting the quality of the lake and its watershed through the promotion of responsible, effective environmental and educational policies.

That being said, we not only are dedicated to preserving and protecting the quality of the lake and its watershed, but we are also dedicated to protecting our membership through education and awareness.

We have created this area of the website, with corresponding tabs to review, to educate the membership in all things safety (boat safety, swimming safety, etc).

Please feel free to review the current tabs, and we look forward to creating new ones as we educate ourselves for the good of the lake community.

HOW CAN I HELP THE LAKE

Help protect our local water quality by joining the Adopt-a-Drain - Massachusetts program! Storm drains flow directly to streams, lakes, and beaches, acting as a conduit for trash and pollutants. By volunteering just fifteen minutes, twice a month, to keep a nearby storm drain clear of leaves, trash, and other debris, you can make a significant difference. Not only will you protect Lake Maspenock, but you will also protect other local streams, lakes, and beaches closer to you! It's easy to get started: simply Sign Up online, enter your address to find a drain on the map, and adopt it in your neighborhood! You can also easily Track Impact by reporting the debris you collect on your online account.
