The Hop­kin­ton Con­ser­va­tion Com­mis­sion is meet­ing via Zoom on Tues­day March 29th at 7:00pm to dis­cuss the Notice of Intent sub­mit­ted by the Hop­kin­ton DPW to address the exces­sive weed growth in the lake. The LMPA Exec­u­tive Board has dis­cussed this top­ic exten­sive­ly. We vot­ed in 2020 that the use of her­bi­cides as a spot treat­ment, when need­ed to con­trol exces­sive weed growth, is impor­tant as a “tool in the tool­box”.
