Boating & OHV Safety Course Enrollment Update

Posted on by
LMPA members,

With spring approaching it is that time of year to start thinking of boating on our wonderful lake.  Boating safety is key to having a great experience on the water. In past years we have been able to have the Environmental Police hold a class in Hopkinton.  This year the Environmental Police schedule is busy so we are leveraging local safety classes for members to join.   Please review this list of class options and select one that works best for your schedule.  These classes are near Hopkinton or offer a one day option with a little further travel.  Registering is easy on the Environmental Police website  https://www.mass.gov/service-details/boating-safety-course-schedule

The classes fill up so please register soon.

HOW CAN I HELP THE LAKE

Help protect our local water quality by joining the Adopt-a-Drain - Massachusetts program! Storm drains flow directly to streams, lakes, and beaches, acting as a conduit for trash and pollutants. By volunteering just fifteen minutes, twice a month, to keep a nearby storm drain clear of leaves, trash, and other debris, you can make a significant difference. Not only will you protect Lake Maspenock, but you will also protect other local streams, lakes, and beaches closer to you! It's easy to get started: simply Sign Up online, enter your address to find a drain on the map, and adopt it in your neighborhood! You can also easily Track Impact by reporting the debris you collect on your online account.
