Tues­day evening’s Board of Select­men’s meet­ing drew an unusu­al­ly large SRO crowd from Lake Maspenock Preser­va­tion Asso­ci­a­tion and oth­er inter­est­ed neigh­bors and res­i­dents of the lake who had heard of a sug­ges­tion float­ed by Town Man­ag­er Nor­man Khu­ma­lo that prop­er­ty in the lake area be assessed at a greater val­ue to pay for repairs to the Lake Maspenock Dam that the town bought for $1.  Read the com­plete arti­cle at http://www.hopnews.com.

Tonight at 7:00 PM in room 211, the Zon­ing Advi­so­ry Com­mit­tee will meet to dis­cuss a pro­posed zon­ing change to 14.2 acres of land from agri­cul­tur­al to indus­tri­al.  The LMPA oppos­es this change and encour­ages you to attend this meet­ing to voice your concerns.
